New to Elim

Welcome to Elim Church Crawley - a great Church, built with you in mind. One of the biggest and most widespread errors in the English language concerns the word 'Church'. People have the wrong idea about it all.  It conjures up images of big old buildings, freezing cold inside, with dry rot and a bell tower. Actually, Church is a collective noun.  Just as a group of trees is called a forest, a group of Christians gathered together is called a Church.  It is a collection of Christians seeking to encourage each other to live life God’s way.

Whether you came along on your own or with friends and family I would like you to feel encouraged here at Elim Church Crawley. There are special programmes for all ages under 16 during our Sunday Morning Celebration (10.30am at Trinity Church Centre, Ifield Drive). We serve refreshments before the Morning Service so you can come early, check us out and do not miss a beat.

We seek to build a Church where you will be sure to find plenty of new friends, great inspiration and real wisdom for living life to the full. The congregation seeks to be vibrant, authentic and relevant, looking forward to all the great things that come from living life with Jesus Christ right at the centre. Whether you're a young family, a student, empty nesters or just don't like being pigeon-holed, you'll find a huge range of places to connect with.

Our congregation meets every weekend at our Trinity Church Centre. Both have excellent transport connections, great refreshments, a brilliant welcome and awesome praise and worship. You can sit back and relax or stand up and be counted. There's plenty of opportunity to come and go as you please, as well as plenty of opportunity to join us for the adventure of a lifetime!

Our underlying emphasis is on allowing the work of Holy Spirit to empower us so that we can make a difference and change the lives of those we meet for their benefit. That is worked out in empowering people through Connection Groups that meet weekly in homes throughout the area and in a wide variety of community initiatives. For some, it's finding a new start, for others, it's being connected to people who help each other to follow Jesus. For some, it's discovering and using abilities they didn't realize they had. For others, it's discovering new purpose and meaning in where they are everyday. It's expressed in meetings, large and small. In work places, homes and among friends. Every individual adds their own distinctive contribution to Elim Church Crawley.
